Zigzag Lighting was formed in London in 1984 as a joint venture by Kevin Ludlam and Neil Hunt, who had been working in the Entertainment Industry for several years. After the first successful year, the company was big enough for Neil to start up Zigzag Lighting North in Leeds while Kevin remained in London. The two companies have since traded separately, although we still collaborate on some larger projects.

We launched Zigzag Lighting with a tour of Germany, although most of our early shows were in small venues around London. Gradually we began to attract regular clients, such as Then Jerico, Immaculate Fools, and King Kurt. This lead to more touring work, and a consequent expansion of the business.

We have now lit shows in most European Countries and members of our crew have a working knowledge of several European languages.

At Zigzag we also sell and install lighting equipment. We can obtain pretty much anything available on the market, and are not tied to any specific manufacturers. We will recommend the equipment which we feel is best suited to your  requirements.

 We have installed lighting in several local schools and other venues such as clubs, churches , community centres and theme parks.
