Text Box: We have continued to invest in two other great products. The first of these is the Chroma Q DB4 LED fixture. Our stock include the units themselves, 30 way controllers and various fittings such as standard yolks, batten brackets and 4 way blinder frames. They are compact yet bright and are excellent for small venues, although we have used them to great effect on Jamie Cullum tours in venues as large as the Royal Albert Hall, and they continue to be a hit wherever there is a need for a compact yet powerful colour changing light source — especially when there is limited power available.

Our other major purchase in recent years was Litec QX30 and QX30s truss. This is a relative newcomer to the UK market and we have built up a considerable stock of it, including lengths from 3m down to 10.5cm, Dado multi way corner blocks and base plates.

We initially bought it because of a need to cover spans of up to 16 metres with minimal deflection but it has proved to be extremely useful in many situations.

Text Box: Our hire stocks consist of a large quantity of generic lighting fixtures, intelligent lighting, dimming, control and truss. We have a small stock of black wool serge drapes and various drapes and swags in white or ivory trevira. For moving lights we can offer Clay Paky Alphaspot 300 HPE’s, Martin Mac 250+, 300s or Entours . Other fixtures such as GLP Impressions can be sourced as required. Small desks are by Jands and Pulsar, or for more demanding shows we have Whole Hog 2 or Chamsys MagicQ PC systems available. We are very impressed by the Chamsys Range and are planning to invest in them a great deal more over the coming year. The Chamsys software is free to download, so visiting LDs and clients can try it out before the show on their own computers, then bring a show in a usb stick if they wish. We also have a quantity of Strand SL 15-25 and 23-50 degree profiles. Fresnel stocks are Selecon Acclaim 650w, and we have several hundred Thomas Par 64s in black or silver, long nose or floorlights. These can be single or mounted on 4 or 6 lamp socapex bars. For uplighting and small venue lighting we can offer Procan PAR 30 100w fixtures in silver or LED fixtures.
